“Hold for Grades” and “Hold for Degree” options
“Hold for Grades”
This option is for students who want their most recent quarterly grades and updated GPA to appear on their official transcript.
- Before the end of the quarter, you may select "Hold for Grades," and your official transcript will not be printed until your grades for that quarter are received.
- Wait until your GPA is posted: Do not select "Hold for Grades" after the last day of instruction – wait for your grades and for your GPA to be calculated and appear on your GOLD unofficial transcript (under Grades, Transcripts & Verifications) before ordering.
- If you place an order before your GPA is posted, you'll have to order and pay again to get the updated transcript.
“Hold for Degree”
This option is for students who want their awarded degree to be reflected on their official transcript.
- Before your degree is awarded, you may select "Hold for Degree," and your official transcript will not be printed until your degree is awarded. Honors and minors, if earned, may not appear at the time the degree is awarded.
- Do not select “Hold for Degree” after your degree status appears as “Awarded” – your order will be delayed. You can verify that your degree status shows as "Awarded" on your GOLD unofficial transcript (under Grades, Transcripts & Verifications).
- If you place an order before your degree is officially "Awarded" and reflected on your unofficial transcript, you will need to re-order and pay again.
Attachments
- Documents that are required and provided by other institutions or organizations (insurance forms, school forms, Common Application Letter, etc.) may be included as an attachment to be sent along with an official transcript.
- Upload attachments (PDF, JPEG) via the Parchment storefront when placing an order.
- Attachments for any of the printed transcript products are limited to a maximum of 5 pages per transcript.
