Custom Letters & Form Completion
All requests must be approved by the Office of the Registrar before a letter or form will be completed.
Only students may request a letter or form completion (requests from third parties, such as parents, will be rejected). Current students, please email us from your Umail account.
Please allow up to 10 business days for letters and forms to be completed and sent.
Custom Letters
- If you require a letter with information not covered by a transcript or official verification, a custom letter can be created for you and sent on your behalf.
- The Office of the Registrar will not produce a custom letter verifying any information that is already available on an official transcript or verification.
Commonly requested letters:
- AP credit letters
- Letter of non-attendance
- Letter of proof of program taught in English
- Common Application/College Report
How to order a Custom Letter:
- Email transcripts@sa.ucsb.edu with:
- What type of letter you require and what information the letter needs to include
- Who to send letter to via DocuSign (student will receive copy of the letter)
Form Completion
- Form must to be sent as a PDF.
- Student must complete their portion of the form or the request will be rejected.
- Do NOT complete Registrar portion of the form or the request will be rejected.
Commonly requested forms:
- Scholarship
- Loan Deferment or Parent Plus Loan Deferment
- Auto Insurance
- Health Insurance
- Military
- International tuition reimbursement (Canada, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland)
- Sibling Verification
- Verification of Online Instruction (i.e. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait)
How to Request a Form Completion:
- Email transcripts@sa.ucsb.edu with:
- PDF copy of the form, properly filled out
- Who to send form to via DocuSign (student will receive copy of the form)
