The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), UC, and UC Santa Barbara policy afford certain rights to students concerning the privacy of, and access to, their education records.
Students may choose to complete and submit this Written Consent Form to the Office of the Registrar to allow the release of specific education records to specified third parties.
Please note that while this written consent form authorizes the Office of the Registrar to release certain education records to third parties, it does not obligate this department nor any other UCSB department to do so.
The Office of the Registrar can only release education records for which it is the office of record.
The Office of the Registrar reserves the right to review and respond to requests for release of education records on a case-by-case basis.
This authorization may only be used once. The student must submit a new request from for reach request for release.
